Fishing permits can be obtained locally to allow the keen fishermen amongst you to enjoy a day on the river Barle or Exe or at the near-by
Wimbleball Lake; we also have several local trout fisheries that are open to the public. Sea fishing can be arranged from
Ilfracombe or
Minehead. There are many good spots to fish from the shore.

Two Moors Way” and the “
South West Coast Path” enable walkers to roam freely over way-marked paths where breathtaking scenery can be enjoyed.
Exmoor has it’s own “Olympic Challenge”,
Dunkery Beacon. This is the highest point on
Exmoor 1705 ft (519 m) above sea level. From the top you can enjoy exhilarating views across
Exmoor, Bristol Channel and the South Wales coast.
Exmoor is also host to the "
Ironman UK" Triathlon based at
Wimbleball Lake; 10 minutes drive from
Threadneedle B&B. The lake has excellent watersport facilities and daily fishing permits can be purchased.

The Doone Valley”, home to the fictional Lorna Doone and John Ridd. "The Valley of the Rocks", Woody Bay
Lynton and Lynmouth known as “Little Switzerland” offer an enchanting excursion.
